by jbs posted 12/13/2009 The game opened with Triangle United Gold going right at the JBS FC U-18s. For the first 5 minutes of the game, Triangle was getting the best of it. Although Triangle had no shots on the JBS goal, they appeared dangerous. As things settled down, JBS, began to counter and slowly take control of the game. At the 22 minute mark, a shot by defender Carlos Ribero was on its way into the Triangle goal until, at the last minute, a Triangle defender cleared the ball off the line. Shortly after that, a Triangle hand ball inside the Triangle 18 was missed by the local/home team referee and another opportunity was missed. At this point JBS was in control and Triangle could not figure out a means to get behind the JBS FC defense and attack the JBS goal... JBS began to mount more pressure on Triangle and at the 26 minute mark, JBS forward Jason Ruvio, broke free alone inside the Triangle 18 and was one on one with the Triangle Keeper, Ruvio's shot was placed right at the Triangle keeper and right into his hands and another opportunity was missed. At the 29 minute mark, a well placed header by JBS midfielder Tyler Collins almost hit the mark but went just wide of the goal. After some great back and forth battles in the midfield and with less then a minute remaining in regulation, a Triangle forward received the ball just outside the JBS 18 and on a very bad angle toward the goal. With nothing to lose and almost no time remaining he hit a shot that went between the Goalkeeper and the near post and gave Triangle United the game. A great game and a tough loss for the U-18s in a game that saw them outplay the defending National Finalists and number two ranked team in the Nation. Congrats to both teams and good luck to the U-18s at the Disney Showcase!

by jbs posted 12/12/2009 The JBS FC U-18s defeated the Virginia State Cup Champions, Great Falls Elite, 1-0 on a goal from Jason Ruvio at the 55 minute mark. JBS outshot Great Falls Elite 8-3 and controlled much of the play. Great Falls is an excellent side, well coached, and strong at every position. In addition to being Virginia State Cup Champions for the past three years, they are currently the 6th ranked team in the Nation. In addition to Jason Ruvio, strong performances were turned in by midfielder Tyler Collins, Carlos Ribero, Wellington Ribero, Nick Paganelli, and Willy Gevertz. Congrats to the U-18s!!!

Danny at JBS Challenge Cup Danny at 11v11 Jacksonville, Florida
JBS FC midfielder, Danny Diprima, commits to nationally ranked Division I power St. John's University. St. John's University reached the NCAA Division 1 Final Four last year and have consistently been ranked in the top 10 in the nation over the past decade. Danny looks to challenge for a starting role in the St. John's midfield.
Danny has impressed in all of his showings and he has become a team leader in the process. He is technically sound, fit, strong, fast and intelligent and likes to go at opposing players and is able to do so with unmatched skill. In addition, Danny is loyal and committed and will continue to have success in the college ranks. Coach Langer states, "The great thing about coaching Danny is that he has never understood just how great of a player he is. Because of this, he maintains a large degree of humility which helps to keep him grounded". Coach Langer continues, " I see a bright future at St. John's for Danny as he will be coached by what many consider to be the best coaching staff in the country. He will learn and continue to improve."
Congrats to Danny and his family for this accomplishment.
